Volunteers are the lifeblood of what we do! If you were interested in being a volunteer we would love to hear from you.
Training is provided and our team of dedicated advocates will provide continuous support.
You will be able to review all the programs and together with our coordinating advocates select the program and schedule that will best suit your talent, skill and availability.
The resource center offers help to displaced citizens by providing the tools needed to help them avoid falling deeper into despair and disconnect. Services will include connection and recommendation to housing including emergency housing, assistance with employment, assistance to make professional appearance to future employers, reunification & child support assistance, mentoring including support groups, and education and training. Services are rendered directly through our trained volunteers and community advocates.
We connect our participants with agencies in the District of Columbia that meets their needs.

Workforce development is a developmental process that enhance our participants, current skills or assist in the development of new skills for success.
• PERSONAL GROWTH - support groups that facilitate the process of trauma recovery, ongoing personal transformation, and inner healing.
• Skills-Based Training - mentoring orientations, group facilitation skills, family engagement, and more.
• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPEMENT - general professional skill training that helps increase soft skills, marketability, and opportunities for employment and career advancement.
