emerge is a class project of a fictitious magazine which includes a front cove and a two page spread. I chose to create one with a blend of urban pop and thought Janelle is one of the fresh personalities that represent that theme so well. The audience for this magazine would be young to middle aged cultured adults, with interest in the arts and diverse societies.
The design was done using Adobe InDesign CC. My subject Miss Janelle Monáe, who uses black, white,and red almost exclusively; influenced my choice of colors, I added green tints to compliment the sharp contrast of black and red.
